Adolescence is a difficult time in life, with lots of confusion, questioning, joy, fear, and figuring out just who they are and how they fit in the world. The Amherst Boys and Girls Club strives to be a place where youth can come and be comfortable, safe, and learn more about themselves and the world around them. We give them a chance to try new skills, socialize, and just have some down time in a world that can sometimes move too quickly for them. We offer supportive staff, a place to talk about whatever is on their mind, and maybe even get some advice (assuming they are willing to listen)!
Here they can find an adult role models willing to listen, friends to engage with, or just a quiet space where they can put on their headphones and relax after school. Members can play pool or air hockey, have a snack, work on the computers, do their homework, learn to cook something new, play on XBox, or indulge their creative side with our art supplies.
Please let us know if there is something specific you would like us to do here at the Club. We are always open to suggestion, and more than willing to try new things. Also, if you have any concerns about your child that you think we may have some information about, or would like to give us some information you feel would help us to work with your child, feel free to call and talk to Club staff. We can be reached by phone at 413-253-1444, or by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org. We welcome feedback!
