the continued growth and success of our club and its members.
As the governing body of Amherst Boys & Girls Club, the board of directors fulfills a variety of roles and responsibilities. Among its many duties, the board: Oversees the financial operations of the organization. Board, maintains the legal and ethical standing of the organization and its staff. As the Amherst Boys & Girls Club is staffed with full time Executive Director and Program Director, the board role, is to provide foresight, oversight, and insight: think of them as up in the crow's nest scanning the horizon for signs of storms or rainbows to explore, perhaps with a pot of gold at the end!
Amherst Boys & Girls Club is looking for active and engage individuals interested in joining one of our three working committees with the possibility of a Board position for the right candidate. The Club is a 501(c) 3 non-profit grassroots organization comprised of parents, self-advocates, lawyers, financial professionals, and non-profit professionals. Most of our work is carried out through the dedicated staff and efforts of our board and committee members. We operate after school community based drop in center. The board, staff, and committee members are dedicated to serving all youth in Amherst, our Leadership Team Focuses on the continued growth and success of our Club and its members.
